Op 18 mei 2026 werd "Porcelaine de Limoges", internationaal vaak aangeduid als Limoges Porcelain, als eerste product erkend onder het nieuwe EU-systeem voor geografische aanduidingen voor ambachtelijke en industriële producten. Daarmee wordt de naam niet langer alleen in Frankrijk beschermd, maar in de hele Europese Unie.
