The Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026 Proposed Changes To Section 135 Of The Companies Act, 2013
On 23rd March 2026, the Government introduced the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026 (the “Bill”) in the Lok Sabha, proposing amendments to the Companies Act, 2013 and the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008. While introducing the Bill, the Finance Minister stated that it was aimed at facilitating greater ease of doing business for law-abiding corporates.

On May 10, 2026, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS) and other departments jointly issued the Interim Provisions on the Protection of the Basic Rights and Interests of Over-Age Workers (hereinafter referred to as the "Provisions"), effective July 1, 2026.
