Belgium on Contract of Employment

On 31 January 2025, the new Federal Government ("De Wever I", also called "Arizona") reached a coalition agreement. The document contains a long list of measures that can directly and indirectly impact employment law.

Belgian labour law took a decisive turn on 31 January 2025. After 236 days of negotiations, the Arizona coalition parties have reached an agreement for the 2025-2029 period.

Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) 32bis applies in Belgium in the event of a transfer of undertakings. It establishes the legal framework that protects employees' rights during such a transfer.
