Dave is a Partner in the firm's Toronto office who helps clients capitalize on opportunities across the sports, entertainment, media, and business sectors. His practice encompasses all aspects of film, TV and digital media production, distribution, and exploitation, as well as brand licensing, artist and influencer representation, commercial transactions, and corporate structuring. Dave regularly advises production companies, creators, artists, record labels, brands, athletes, and entrepreneurs, and represents music industry clients in recording, management, and publishing negotiations. With experience in both private practice and in-house roles within the professional sports industry (namely, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. and the Oakland Raiders), Dave offers practical, commercially focused advice informed by a deep understanding of how sports and entertainment businesses operate. Dave is recognized as a leader in his field by Best Lawyers in Canada, Lexpert Legal Canadian Directory, and Lexpert Rising Stars. Dave received his B.A. from McGill University and his J.D. from the University of Ottawa.
Corey is Of Counsel in the firm's Toronto office, where he advises clients on entertainment, sports, corporate, and commercial law matters. Licensed in both Ontario and California, Corey brings a cross-border perspective to a wide range of entertainment and media transactions. He counsels clients on the development, production, distribution, and exploitation of film, television, and digital media projects, as well as intellectual property acquisitions, licensing arrangements, and talent agreements. He has extensive experience supporting business and legal affairs matters throughout the content lifecycle, including intellectual property rights acquisition and management, chain of title review, legal clearance, guild compliance, insurance procurement, publishing and merchandising arrangements, corporate governance, entity formation, and the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial agreements. Corey received his HBA from Ivey Business School and his J.D. from Loyola Law School.
