As the sole Updating Author, Mark will now be responsible for all future annual updates to this critical loose-leaf service, taking over from the original authors. This entails meticulously reviewing and revising existing content to ensure it accurately reflects the latest legislative changes, judicial precedents, and regulatory developments within South African competition law, .as well as providing expert insight and analysis on complex issues.
Mark's appointment follows his extensive contributions to LexisNexis. He previously served as a Content Reviewer for Sutherland, P. & Kemp, K. (eds). Competition Law of South Africa (Durban: LexisNexis), a testament to his deep understanding of its intricacies. Furthermore, his role as a Content Developer for LexisNexis's Competition Law online service highlights his commitment to making complex legal information accessible and actionable.
With over 22 years of expertise spanning Corporate and Commercial, Mergers and Acquisitions, Competition & Antitrust, and various regulated sectors, Mark's practical experience makes him uniquely qualified for this role. His work advising multinational clients on competition and anti-trust compliance requirements, as well as his involvement in cartel conduct investigations, provides a real-world perspective that will enrich the publication.
