JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – Andersen is pleased to announce the promotion of Yamani Selana to Partner within the firm's Indirect Tax, Customs & International Trade practice. The appointment was unanimously approved by the Global Board, marking a significant development in the growth of the South African Tax team.
Yamani is an admitted attorney and a highly regarded Tax Practitioner, affiliated with the South African Institute of Tax Professionals and the Legal Practice Council. His expertise is underpinned by 13 years of specialised experience in customs and international trade, advising Multinational Enterprises across South Africa, Sub-Sahara Africa, and the Middle East.
Throughout his tenure, Yamani has been instrumental in assisting clients with establishing and implementing global trade compliance programmes, advising on import, export and trade regulations, and setting up effective logistics operations. His focus includes customs valuation, tariff classification, rules of origin, and providing guidance on audits and Customs and Excise-related registrations. Furthermore, Yamani currently holds the esteemed position of Chairperson of the Tax Board in South Africa, Gauteng Division.
