Legal Framework Of Hydroelectric Power Plants In Turkish Energy Law
Hydroelectric power plants (HPP) play a central role in Türkiye’s renewable energy strategy due to their low operating costs compared to fossil fuels, long operational lifespans, high efficiency rates, and clean structure that does not produce atmospheric emissions. The first planning and investments for hydroelectric energy production in Türkiye began in 1950’s, and historically, the majority of these investments have been carried out by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSİ).

Türk Enerji Hukukunda Barajlar Ve Hidroelektrik Santrallerin Hukuki Çerçevesi
Hidroelektrik santraller (HES), fosil yakıtlara kıyasla işletme maliyetlerinin düşüklüğü, uzun işletme ömürleri, yüksek verimlilik oranları ve atmosferik emisyon üretmeyen temiz yapılarıyla Türkiye'nin yenilenebilir enerji stratejisinde merkezi bir rol oynamaktadır. Türkiye'de hidroelektrik enerji üretimi amaçlı ilk planlamalar ve yatırımlar 1950’li yıllarda başlamış olup, tarihsel süreçte bu yatırımların büyük kısmı Devlet Su İşleri (DSİ) Genel Müdürlüğü eliyle yürütülmüştür.

Energy Update: What We Now Know About RESS 6
Ireland's RESS 6 renewable electricity support scheme introduces significant changes including NZIA compliance requirements, a new composite scoring methodology combining price, resilience and energy system integration factors, and technology-specific auction pots for wind and solar projects. The scheme will support successful projects until 2046, with stricter obligations around supply chain diversification, cybersecurity standards, and Public Service Obligation compliance compared to previous iterations.

Powering Data Centers: The Rise And Challenges Of The "Behind The Meter” Model
As AI-driven demand pushes data center power needs beyond the limits of aging grids, behind-the-meter generation is emerging as a route to faster and more reliable supply. However, BTM solutions bring their own financing, regulatory, and technology risks, from stranded asset exposure and lender concerns over power supply interruption to licensing uncertainty and storage challenges.

Process Patents, Product Patents, Or Trade Secrets? Choosing The Right IP Strategy In Chemical Manufacturing
Many of the most valuable advances in chemical manufacturing happen quietly, in process design, catalyst choice, and scale-up know-how rather than in new compounds. Selecting the right IP strategy is critical to protecting value, supporting investment, and enabling scale-up from lab to pilot to plant. The key question at every stage of development is should protection focus on the process, the product, or be kept as confidential know-how?

Occupational Health And Safety Obligations In The Energy Sector
Employers operating in the energy sector in Turkey are subject not only to general occupational health and safety legislation but also to sector-specific technical regulations and administrative obligations. In particular, the precautions to be taken in activities involving high voltage, explosive atmospheres, confined space work, work at heights, and chemical risks are not merely an administrative requirement but form the basis of legal liability.
