SSEK Law Firm managing partner Dewi Savitri Reni spoke at the recent ASEAN Law Conference 2026, held in conjunction with the 15th ASEAN Law Association (ALA) General Assembly in Bangkok, Thailand. She served as a panelist in the session on "Law & Business – Responsible Business Conduct in ASEAN: From Voluntary Standards to Legal Accountability."
SSEK partner Mahareksha S. Dillon also attended the conference.
The session explored the evolving legal landscape of responsible business conduct in ASEAN, including the shift from voluntary corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to increasingly binding legal and regulatory obligations. The discussion also covered environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards, human rights due diligence, cross-border supply chains, the digital economy, and the growing role of digital identity in strengthening compliance and corporate accountability.
The panel provided valuable insights into emerging compliance expectations, legal risks, and the future direction of responsible business conduct in ASEAN.
