Oppenhoff has advised the global investor Bridgepoint on acquiring a majority stake in the Hanseatic Broking Center Group (HBC) from Preservation Capital Partners. Oppenhoff's role included legal due diligence, in collaboration with Kirkland & Ellis.

The HBC founders and management team will retain significant investments and, together with Bridgepoint, will lead HBC into its next growth phase. With this new partnership, HBC aims to further expand its MGA expertise, digitize its platform, and grow within the DACH region. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025.

Bridgepoint is a leading international private equity investor headquartered in London. The company invests in mid-sized businesses with high growth potential, supporting them in achieving their strategic goals.

Founded in 2022, HBC is one of the leading owner-managed, independent platforms for insurance brokers serving mid-sized companies in the DACH region. The group serves over 40,000 customers across various insurance sectors and manages a premium volume exceeding 600 million euros.
