The Government has been issuing numerous
advisories, notifications and relaxations to enable companies to
face the hardships caused by the spread of COVID-19 and equip them
to better handle the situation. The Courts have also been very

Karnataka High Court modifies SOP for the
functioning of High Court w.e.f 17 November 2020
On 12 November 2020, the Karnataka High Court has issued certain
modifications to the existing Standard Operating Procedure
(SOP) dated 29 September 2020. The modifications
will be effective from 17 November 2020. Some of the key
modifications are as follows:
- At the principal seat at Bengaluru and the Benches at Dharwad
and Kalaburagi, all cases will be heard by video
conferencing/physical hearing. The practice of communicating the
meeting ID and the password in all the cases listed on the cause
lists to the members of the Bar and the parties-in-person will
continue.
