Cayman Islands Wealth Management

In our previous update Register of Beneficial Ownership Information we reported on the introduction in the Cayman Islands of new laws and regulations1 implementing a system of beneficial ownership registers for certain Cayman Islands companies and limited liability companies. Those new laws and regulations have now been brought into force by Order of the Cayman Islands Government with effect on and from 1 July 20172.

 We will be contacting our clients in order to advise as to the applicability of the new laws and regulations and any next steps that will need to be taken.
