Peter Harrison joined Devry Smith Frank LLP (DSF) in 2019 as an associate in our Barrie Family Law group.
Prior to joining DSF, Peter acted as senior counsel where he gained extensive litigation experience including trial experience and appellate experience and a strong interest and proficiency in Family Law.
Peter has also been admitted by the Supreme Court of South Africa to practice as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 1993 and a Notary Public in 1994.
His life experiences and wide-ranging work provide him with insightful social perceptiveness, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, which complement his legal training and years representing family law clients.
As a family lawyer in Barrie, during the course of his career, he has dealt extensively in cases pertaining to prenuptial agreements, separation agreements, civil disputes, divorce settlements just to name a few. Particularly, he has been accredited for his reasonable approach to resolving family law issues, his concern for children, and his understanding of complex financial matters.
Peter obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Natal in 1989. He later received his LL.B. from the University of Natal in 1992. After his studies, In addition to practicing as a family lawyer, he acted as a Commissioner of the Small Claims court. Peter was called to the Ontario Bar in 2005.
Outside of work, you'll find Peter mountain biking, sailing on Georgian Bay in his C & C sailboat and relaxing while cooking in the Georgian Bay area.
