Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Osie Ukwuoma has joined the firm’s Toronto office as a Partner.
Osie’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law, with experience spanning capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, venture capital, and private equity transactions. He regularly advises private and public companies, investors, entrepreneurs, and financial institutions on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions across a variety of industries, including life sciences, mining, manufacturing, and infrastructure servicing.
In addition to his transactional practice, Osie advises clients on ongoing governance, shareholder matters, stock exchange matters, and commercial contracting. Osie previously practiced at a full-service national law firm and served as Chief Compliance Officer of a mid-sized Canadian investment fund focused on merger arbitrage, spinouts, and special situations. In that role, he developed significant buy-side and regulatory experience that informs his transactional practice.
Osie is recognized as a leader in his field by Best Lawyers in Canada “Ones to Watch.” He received his B.Comm and his J.D. from Queen’s University.
