Matt Maurer, Chair of our Cannabis Law and Franchise Law Groups, was recently interviewed by StratCann on the strict rules surrounding Cannabis marketing during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

StratCann followed up with him after the owner of a Toronto cannabis store, Cosmic Charlies, received a letter stating that he was infringing on FIFA’s intellectual property for selling a silicone bong in the shape of the FIFA World Cup Trophy.
