William Fry congratulates The Royal College of Surgeons (RCSI) in Ireland on winning Project of the Year and Sustainable Green Building of the Year at the Irish Construction Excellence Awards 2026 for Project Connect, a transformative new education and research building at 118 St Stephen's Green, Dublin.
The seven-storey facility replaces an outdated office block with a state-of-the-art environment supporting advanced research, teaching and collaboration. The building features VR surgical spaces, modern laboratories, flexible learning spaces, faculty offices, café and exhibition centre with a new bridge link to other campus buildings including at 26 York Street. Located within historic St Stephen's Green, Dublin's Georgian Quarter, with adjacent active LUAS transport links, and targeting innovative green construction and energy efficiency measures to support campus activities, Project Connect is a transformational development and achievement for RCSI.
