William Fry LLP is pleased to host the Adjudication Society's Republic of Ireland Conference on 14 May 2026, marking the tenth anniversary of the Construction Contracts Act 2013 and its significant role in shaping Ireland's dispute resolution landscape.
This year's conference brings together distinguished contributors from the judiciary, legal practice and leading industry bodies. Attorney General Rossa Fanning SC will open the event, followed by a keynote address from The Hon. Mr Justice Garrett Simons, the High Court judge responsible for adjudication matters. Delegates will also hear from Sir Vivian Ramsey, International Judge and Arbitrator, offering insights on over twenty‑five years of adjudication experience in the UK.
The conference will feature two panel discussions addressing critical themes for practitioners, including:
- The future of "smash‑and‑grab" adjudications following Tenderbids;
- Recent developments in Irish adjudication case law;
- Practical lessons from the first decade of the regime;
- Comparative perspectives from experienced adjudicators, counsel and industry experts.
This is the first Adjudication Society conference held in Ireland since 2017 and arrives at a timely moment, following key judgments delivered within the last six months that have further defined the operation of adjudication in Ireland.
The event will take place at William Fry LLP, 2 Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2, and provides attendees with three CPD points. The programme will conclude with an opportunity for networking over drinks and canapés.
Tickets are now available, and we encourage early registration due to expected high demand.
