Meister Seelig & Schuster is pleased to announce that Marc S. Bekerman has joined the firm as a Partner in its Trusts & Estates Practice.
Marc brings a deep and sophisticated practice focused on all aspects of trusts and estates law, including estate planning, administration, and litigation. He has particular experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families on complex tax and succession planning matters, and regularly counsels fiduciaries and beneficiaries in connection with Surrogate's Court proceedings. He also has significant experience in guardianship matters and has been appointed by courts to represent individuals under a disability.
In addition to his practice, Marc is widely recognized as a leading academic voice in the trusts and estates space. He serves as a Distinguished Adjunct Professor of Law at New York Law School and has previously taught at St. John's University School of Law. He is also a frequent author and lecturer on estate planning and tax-related issues.
