On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, WeirFoulds proudly celebrated Black History Month by featuring cuisine from local Black-owned food vendors at the firm's Toronto office.
This year's event featured an array of offerings from local Black-owned businesses showcasing authentic Caribbean flavours. Dave's Drupatis Roti & Doubles provided freshly prepared doubles, Randy's Patties on Eglinton offered an assortment of its iconic patties, and Brown Sugar Bakery shared a selection of cookies for attendees to enjoy. The experience also created space for learning and reflection, allowing lawyers and staff to deepen their understanding of Black history, culture, and the lasting influence of the Caribbean diaspora.
The firm was also proud to mark a significant milestone this year, as 2026 represents 30 years since February was officially recognized as Black History Month in Canada.
In further recognition of Black History Month, WeirFoulds has made a meaningful donation of new equipment to the Grandravine Community Centre in Toronto. Grandravine plays a vital role in supporting children, youth, and families through programs that foster confidence, belonging, and opportunity, helping to strengthen the community it serves.
