Amsterdam, 23 September 2025 – BUREN is pleased to announce the appointment of Corinne Schot as partner in BUREN's Banking & Finance practice, effective 15 September 2025. Corinne brings over 25 years of experience in financing, derivatives, and financial regulation to the firm. Her arrival, alongside the recent addition of China and UK-qualified banking lawyer Yongmei Evers Cai, significantly strengthens BUREN's Banking & Finance team.
Corinne previously served as managing partner of Baker McKenzie Amsterdam from 2018, becoming the first woman to hold this position. In 2019, she was appointed to Baker McKenzie's EMEA+ Board. Earlier in her career, she worked at Houthoff and Allen & Overy.
With over 25 years of experience advising global financial institutions, corporates, and investment funds, Corinne has built a distinguished career at the forefront of complex financial transactions, regulatory developments, and cross-border financing structures. Her practice covers a wide range of areas, including syndicated lending, structured finance, sustainable finance, and financial markets regulation.
