(Friday, 12 September 2025: Dublin) William Fry LLP is delighted to confirm that Owen O’Sullivan, former managing partner and currently a Consultant in its Litigation & Investigations Department, has been appointed as a Commissioner of the Law Reform Commission (in a part-time capacity) for a five year term from 1 November 2025.

Owen was Managing Partner of William Fry from 2020 to 2024 and from 2005 to 2020 was head of the Firm’s Litigation & Investigations Department.

Owen specialises in large scale commercial disputes, particularly shareholder and investment disputes, as well as disputes and advisory work in the financial sector. He has considerable experience in regulatory proceedings across many industry sectors as well as in Tribunals, Inquiries and Investigations. Owen’s current role as a Consultant in William Fry is unaffected by this new appointment.

Owen served as a member of the Law Society’s Litigation Committee and has been a member of the International Bar Association for many years. He was a founding committee member and subsequently Chair of the Commercial Litigation Association of Ireland. He is also an IMI accredited Mediator.

Owen is consistently ranked as a leading lawyer in the international legal directories Chambers Global and The Legal 500 EMEA.
