Lewis Silkin has won the 'Firm of the Year' category at The Lawyer Awards 2025 – the most prestigious category in the UK's most important legal awards.
This category looks at wide-ranging criteria including commercial metrics, competitive challenges, business strategy and how individual firms define success.
According to The Lawyer:
"...the firm won plaudits from the judges for adopting an innovative approach, while sticking to its employment law and entrepreneurial roots. As one of this year's judges noted: "This is a firm with a really clear view of what it stands for and is justifiably comfortable in its own skin."
Lucy Lewis, Chair of the Partnership, said:
"This is fabulous recognition for the firm and we're extremely proud to win this award.
Our ambition at Lewis Silkin has long been to create 'the type of firm we'd love to work at', and our model – of not doing things the same way as other firms– has enabled our people to genuinely thrive.
This means our lawyers and business teams are better engaged, more fulfilled, and happier in their careers – which leads to closer working relationships with clients, and as a result, better outcomes for them. We're also extremely privileged in that we get to partner with fantastic clients on really interesting and innovative work.
Everyone at Lewis Silkin contributes to our success and to our culture, in ways both big and small, so this award is for everyone in the firm."
2024 was an extremely successful year for the firm. Alongside strong commercial performance, wider achievements included:

- Rolling out a secure generative AI platform to every colleague in the firm
- Ranking second on Newsweek's list of the UK's Most Loved Workplaces
- Rising to 7th on the Social Mobility Employer Index
