June 28, 2017- Today, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3409 people to apply for Permanent Residence to Canada through Express Entry. The number of invitations issued decreased by 468 invitations from the last draw on May 31, 2017. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 449, a significant increase of 36 points from the last draw. The higher CRS score has led to a dramatic drop in the number of candidates being invited to apply for Express Entry and is a departure from the previous upward trends in the last few months. This is also the first draw since improvements to the Express Entry system that came into force on June 6, 2017.
