The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC") published the "Subsidiaries and Equity Investments" booklet of the Comptroller's Licensing Manual. The new booklet replaces the "Investment in Subsidiaries and Equities" booklet. It updates procedures to reflect the integration of Office of Thrift Supervision functions into the OCC, as well as relevant regulations that became effective on July 1, 2015.

The booklet includes an outline of factors that the OCC takes into account when evaluating applications by banks to establish or acquire a subsidiary, or make an equity investment in a business entity. In addition, the booklet provides guidance on filing requirements for establishing subsidiaries or making an equity investment, and includes links to sample forms and other resources for interested parties.
