The next ACI Forum sponsored by KPMG in Malta will be held in the form of a breakfast seminar on 11 March 2014 at the Portomaso Suite, Hilton Malta from 8am to 10am. The event, for which attendance is by invitation only, is an initiative as part of KPMG's Thought Leadership Programme.
In the forthcoming session, we will launch the Audit Committee Handbook which sets out the principles underlying the audit committee's role and provides non-prescriptive guidance to help audit committees gain a better understanding of the processes and practices that help create effective audit committees. We will also present the key results highlighted in the KPMG Global Audit Committee Institute Survey, which was issued in January 2014 and captures the views of some 1,800 audit committee members around the world on a range of matters, including the audit committee workload and agenda, risk and information quality, the interaction with the finance function, corporate performance and the role of the internal audit department.
