On 18 May 2017, Deloitte Cyprus was named "Cyprus Tax Firm of the Year 2017" at the International Tax Review (ITR) European Tax Awards ceremony, which took place at the Savoy Hotel in London.
Pieris Markou, Tax & Legal Services Leader collected the award on behalf of Deloitte Cyprus. Christis Christoforou, CEO of Deloitte Cyprus said "We are very proud to be recognised internationally as the leading tax firm in Cyprus, a significant achievement that demonstrates our firm's excellence."
This is the fourth time in the last five years that Deloitte Cyprus has won this prestigious international tax award. "The continuous recognition on behalf of the ITR, reflects the high caliber of our people and the top quality of the innovative tax services we offer to our clients" said Pieris Markou. "Our commitment is to continue building our firm's capabilities in order to support our clients addressing their biggest challenges in this rapidly changing environment" he added.
Members of the Deloitte network won 24 ITR tax awards in total this year, more than any other organization, for work completed last year.
The provision of tax services is one of the core services provided by Deloitte both in Cyprus and internationally, with particular emphasis on corporate tax, personal tax, VAT and international tax planning.
