Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is pleased to have advised longstanding client Swvl Holdings Corp (“Swvl”) (Nasdaq: SWVL) in connection with its US$14.5 million private placement financing.
A team of Corporate lawyers from the firm’s British Virgin Islands office, led by Managing Partner Chris Newton with assistance from Associates Chloe Parsons and Elliot Ruffle advised SWVL on all BVI legal aspects of the transaction. The team worked closely with Sullivan & Worcester LLP who acted as US counsel to Swvl.
The Maples Group has supported Swvl since its inception, including advising on its 2021 business combination with Queen’s Gambit Growth Capital (a Cayman Islands SPAC) that resulted in Swvl’s public listing and on its US$4.7 million private placement in 2024.
