RDJ advised Freenow by Lyft on its acquisition of Dublin-based Lynk Taxis and Limerick-based Swift Taxi Service, strengthening the company's presence across Ireland and further expanding its reach beyond the app-based services for which Freenow by Lyft is best known.
The acquisitions will increase the number of drivers available on the Freenow by Lyft platform, helping to deliver faster pick-up times for passengers while enhancing coverage in key regional markets. The addition of Lynk also strengthens Freenow's growing business travel offering.
Freenow by Lyft operates in more than 180 cities in Europe, offering a wide range of multi-mobility options across 9 European markets. Headquartered in Germany, the company has been owned by Lyft since July 2025.
Founded more than a decade ago, Dublin-based Lynk Taxis has built a strong presence in the capital's taxi market, while Limerick-based Swift Taxi Service provides dispatch services to clients across a range of sectors, including healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
