SSEK Law Firm recently hosted a meeting of the Association of the Indonesian Legal Consultants (Asosiasi Konsultan Hukum Indonesiaor “AKHI”), themed “Refreshed, Revitalized, Reborn,” bringing together more than 70 legal practitioners from some of Indonesia’s most prominent and respected law firms.
Ira A. Eddymurthy, founding partner of SSEK, delivered the opening remarks in her capacity as a member of AKHI’s Supervisory Board.
The event also provided an opportunity for AKHI chairman Daniel Ginting to outline his strategic vision and key priorities for the association. He emphasized building a modern organizational foundation, launching a professional development platform for young lawyers, and activating eight specialized commissions to serve as the core pillars of AKHI’s expertise. These commissions are expected to play an active role in strengthening AKHI’s institutional capacity and expanding its contribution to legal and regulatory discourse in Indonesia.
AKHI aims to provide meaningful insights into legal, regulatory, and policy developments while strengthening collaboration among legal practitioners, industry stakeholders, and policymakers. It aspires to evolve into an independent, world-class think tank that contributes thought leadership and helps shape legal and macroeconomic policy in Indonesia, reinforcing its role as a leading voice in Indonesia’s legal and business landscape.
Founded in 1988 by 16 prominent legal practitioners from nine of Indonesia’s leading law firms, AKHI remains committed to advancing the legal consulting profession in Indonesia.
