Fine Cell Work is a UK-based charity and social enterprise which trains people in prison and post-release to create high-quality, handmade needlework products. By providing purposeful activity, skills development and a route to paid, meaningful work, the charity plays a vital role in supporting rehabilitation and reducing reoffending.
Over the coming year, BCL will work closely with Fine Cell Work to support the charity through a programme of fundraising initiatives, awareness campaigns and staff volunteering opportunities. The partnership reflects BCL's longstanding commitment to supporting organisations that promote access to justice, rehabilitation and positive social impact.
Richard Sallybanks, Managing Partner at BCL
Solicitors LLP, said:
"We are delighted to be supporting Fine Cell Work as our
Charity of the Year. The charity's work aligns closely with our
values, particularly its focus on rehabilitation, dignity and
second chances. We look forward to working together over the coming
year to raise funds and awareness for such an important
cause."
A spokesperson for Fine Cell Work added:
"We are very grateful to BCL for choosing Fine Cell Work
as their Charity of the Year. Partnerships like this enable us to
expand our programmes and support more people in prison and after
release to rebuild their lives through creativity and meaningful
work."
