Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 50 firms in the U.S., announced the addition of Kory Patrick, CISSP, as a principal in the Risk Advisory Services department.
In his current role, Patrick leads Kaufman Rossin’s cybersecurity practice where he provides businesses and professionals with comprehensive cybersecurity and risk management solutions. His work supports the firm’s commitment to helping clients identify vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and respond effectively to cyber threats. The firm’s cybersecurity services span assessments, digital forensics, incident response, penetration testing, and compliance readiness — all designed to strengthen resilience and safeguard critical assets in today’s evolving threat landscape.
Patrick brings more than two decades of experience in cybersecurity, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance. He has led large-scale risk transformation initiatives and cybersecurity program development efforts for organizations in highly regulated industries, including financial services and healthcare.
He advises executive leadership teams on governance models, cyber resiliency strategies, emerging technology risk, identity and access management, and secure modernization across cloud and hybrid environments. His background also includes more than ten years in federal service in a cyber leadership capacity, directing investigations and collaborating across domestic and international stakeholders on matters involving cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and critical infrastructure protection.
“Kory’s deep expertise in cybersecurity and risk management, combined with his leadership experience in both the public and private sectors, strengthens Kaufman Rossin’s ability to help clients navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape,” said Ivan Garces, Risk Advisory Services Chair and Chief Risk Officer at Kaufman Rossin. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to our leadership team and look forward to the continued growth of our cybersecurity practice.”
A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Patrick also holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems.
