On 5 June, the Axis team came together for a meaningful beach clean-up at Les Salines, Port Louis. This initiative was coordinated by our ESG, EDI, and Exult Working Groups, with colleagues across the organization joining forces in support of a cleaner and greener Mauritius.
The theme for 2025 as designated by the UN is "Ending Plastic Pollution". This theme aims to highlight the growing issue of plastic pollution and its impact on ecosystems and human health, extending beyond visible plastic waste to include microplastics in our food, water, and even our bodies.
We are proud to share that our collective efforts led to the collection of nearly 1 ton of plastic waste, filling more than 70 large bin bags—a powerful testament to what teamwork and shared values can achieve.
Special thanks to MAFTA International Ltd for partnering with us by collecting the plastics bag for recycling. As collectors and exporters of recyclables across Mauritius, their mission to reduce pollution and maintain sustainability aligns perfectly with our environmental values.
At Axis, we believe that sustainability begins with action. Every bottle collected, every piece of litter removed, is a step closer to protecting our natural ecosystems.
