As part of our ongoing maritime series, the Fenech & Fenech Maritime Practice team turned its focus to the vital role played by logistics and supply chain operators. Last Monday we were invited by Salvo Grima Group, a long-standing client of ours, established in 1860 and today a leading name in ship supply, duty-free retail, and international distribution.
At their Malta premises, our Maritime Practice had the opportunity to explore their extensive warehousing facilities, where a wide array of items are stored in readiness for prompt delivery to vessels. Drawing on decades of data, Salvo Grima has refined its inventory systems to ensure that high-demand items are consistently stocked in advance. For items not immediately available, their experienced team steps in swiftly, maintaining a round-the-clock service, 365 days a year.
Our visit also included their head offices, where Ann Fenech, Head of our Marine Litigation Department, expressed our firm's pride in having supported the Group over the years as a trusted legal partner. We also saw firsthand how Salvo Grima—much like Fenech & Fenech—shares an ethos of honouring its heritage while actively investing in innovation and growth. Today, the Group's operations extend across Europe and Africa, positioning them as key players in the supply chain.
At Fenech & Fenech, we recognise that strong logistics partners are essential to the very being of the maritime industry. We extend our sincere thanks to Mr Karl Aquilina, CEO of Salvo Grima and Chairman Mr. Robert Aquilina, for the warm welcome, and congratulate the entire team on their impressive work and forward-thinking vision.
