Antidumping Investigation On Polycarbonate Sheets From China

Today, February 14^th, 2025, the Mexican Ministry of Economy published the notice of initiation of the Antidumping Investigation on the Imports of Polycarbonate Sheets from China, in the Official Gazette of the Federation. Find out all the details of this investigation on this post.

The investigation was requested by the Mexican producer IMSA Plastics, S.A. de C.V.

Investigated Product

This product is commonly known as cellular polycarbonate, corrugated polycarbonate, solid or compact polycarbonate, sheets or panels of cellular and corrugated or compact polycarbonate.

Tariff Item

Polycarbonate sheets are imported into national territory under tariffs items 3916.90.91, 3920.61.01, 3921.19.91, and 3925.90.99 of the Mexican Law of General Import and Export Tariffs.

Normal Value

The Ministry considered China as a non-market economy and is using the United States as a surrogate country.

Period of Investigation (Dumping)

The Ministry of Economy determined that the period of investigation is from June 1^st, 2023, to May 31^st, 2024.

Period of Analysis (Injury)

The Ministry of Economy established that the period of analysis is going to be that from June 1^st, August 2019, to July 31^st, 2024. This investigation is for material injury.

Deadline

The deadline for exporters and importers to participate in the investigation is March 26^th, 2025. A deadline extension may be requested.
