The trademark, patent and design registration systems in Tangier are almost identical to those in Morocco with the following exception:
1. In Tangiers, opposition to the registration of a trademark is allowed. An opposition to the registration of a trademark should be filed within 60 days from the date of publication. An opposition to the registration of a trademark should be prosecuted by either a patent attorney or a lawyer before the Bureau of Industrial Property of Tangier. If either party objects to the decision issued by the Registrar, the case will be referred to the competent tribunal.
2. A design registration in Tangier is valid for 15 years.
