Walkers' Cayman, BVI and Bermuda Investment Funds team in London has been further strengthened with the recruitment of Senior Counsel Alastair King.
Alastair – who joins Walkers from the Singapore-based team of another offshore firm – has more than ten years' experience in private practice, and is a specialist in advising on Cayman, BVI and Bermuda hedge and private equity funds.
He joins the team led by partners Matthew Bloomfield, Tatziana Paraguacuto-Maheo and Hughie Wong, as part of Walkers' leading London office – the office is the only offshore practice in London to be ranked in the top tier for both Cayman and BVI work by Chambers and Partners as well as in the top tier by Legal 500.
Alastair's arrival comes as part of Walkers' continued recruitment and strategic growth in London – arrivals since the start of the year include senior associates Anita Gulanikar and Ross Wilding and associate Divya Selvaraj in the Finance and Corporate team, as well as associate Katherine Jensen, who transferred to the London Insolvency & Dispute Resolution team from Walkers' Guernsey office.
Walkers' London managing partner Jack Boldarin welcomed Alastair's arrival.
