From 30 June to 3 July, IAC Eurasia Arbitration Week 2026 brought together leading members of the arbitration community for four days of practical discussion on the future of dispute resolution. As one of the event's sponsors, Unicase was proud to support this important platform and contribute to the exchange of ideas among policymakers, in-house counsel, private practitioners, academics and arbitrators.
On 2 July, Unicase Managing Partner Artem Timoshenko spoke at the panel "Arbitration from the Inside: What In-house Counsel Really Want," moderated by Jeff Erlich, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan. Artem was joined by Elyar Aliyev, Samir Abdullayev, Zmarak Khan and Ravil Kassilgov.
The panel discussed the key factors influencing corporate dispute strategies. Artem shared when a dispute involves regulatory, criminal or broader corporate risks, protecting the business takes priority. Artem highlighted: "It is not a question of speed and cost. It is a question of strategy."
On 3 July, Daniil Litosh moderated the panel "International Law & Practice of ADR" during the Young Lawyers' Day programme, organised by the AIFC Court and International Arbitration Centre in collaboration with the Commercial Law Development Program. Together with David Hunt, Yerkin Budenov, Caitlin Walczyk, Fuad Gashamov and Dr Yulia Levashova MCIArb, Daniil led a discussion on the UNCITRAL Model Law, the New York and Singapore Conventions, soft law, mediation and recent developments in arbitration across Eurasia. Daniil highlighted the role of the legal community in developing principles where formal regulation remains limited:
"Where substantive regulation is limited, it is lawyers, practitioners, experts, judges and arbitrators who contribute to the development of the relevant principles."
Following the event, Unicase received a letter on behalf of Christopher Campbell-Holt OBE, Registrar and Chief Executive of the AIFC International Arbitration Centre, expressing sincere appreciation for the firm's valuable contribution to IAC Eurasia Arbitration Week 2026.
We are grateful to have supported IAC Eurasia Arbitration Week 2026 as one of its sponsors. We thank the International Arbitration Centre (IAC) for bringing together the arbitration community and creating a valuable platform for professional dialogue.
