This weekend, we were incredibly proud to see our Serious Injury Partner, Greg Almond, cross the finish line of the 2026 London Marathon, all in support of Headway Nottingham, a charity that has made a real difference to our clients.

Greg raised funds for the local brain injury charity which supports people across Nottinghamshire living with life‑changing brain injuries. They played an important role in the recovery of Wayne Birkett, one of our clients and a survivor of the 2023 Nottingham attacks.

A Trustee of Headway Nottingham since 2022, Greg has seen first‑hand the difference the charity makes. That personal insight, alongside seeing the impact of their work on Wayne's recovery, is what inspired him to take on the marathon challenge.

Greg said:

"Having worked closely with Headway Nottingham for several years, I know just how vital their support is for people living with a brain injury. Seeing the difference they've made to Wayne's confidence and independence made running the London Marathon an easy decision, despite the training!

"After hospital treatment ends, many people are left trying to navigate a completely changed life on their own. Headway Nottingham offers that ongoing support, helping people rebuild their confidence and independence. That support is invaluable, and I'm really proud to have been able to raise money for their work."

Greg's London Marathon run has already raised £1,880 for Headway Nottingham, helping to fund the long‑term support and rehabilitation services relied upon by people living with brain injuries across the region.
