NEW YORK (February 9, 2026) -- AlixPartners, the global consulting firm, announced today a significant expansion of its eDiscovery practice, underscored by the addition of Lily Wen, and continued investment in global infrastructure, technology, and talent. The expansion reflects sustained growth of the practice to meet rising client demand for sophisticated, technology-driven discovery solutions across jurisdictions.

Tarek Ghalayini, Americas Co-Leader of Risk Advisory and Global Leader of the eDiscovery practice at AlixPartners, commented: "I'm delighted to welcome Lily to AlixPartners. Lily's depth of experience further enhance our ability to serve clients facing complex litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters."

Ms. Wen has more than 20 years of experience leading large-scale, global eDiscovery operations for Fortune 500 companies, with deep expertise in emerging data sources, cross-border discovery, and team scaling. She joins AlixPartners as a Partner and a senior member of the eDiscovery team based in the firm's Los Angeles office.

"AlixPartners has built one of the most respected eDiscovery practices in the industry by combining deep technical expertise with a truly client-first mindset," said Ms. Wen. "I'm excited to join a global team that operates as one unified practice and continues to invest heavily in people, infrastructure, and custom technology to solve today's most complex discovery and investigation challenges."

The practice expansion also includes the planned addition of a new eDiscovery Partner in London later this year, further reinforcing AlixPartners' unified global delivery model.

Growth and investment

AlixPartners' eDiscovery team of professionals has grown about 33% since 2020. Additionally, the practice's hosted data volume, a key growth metric, has doubled over the past five years.

To support this momentum, AlixPartners has recently completed upgrades to its global data centers and underlying technology and hardware, enhancing performance, security, and scalability for large, data-intensive matters.

The firm's eDiscovery team operates as a single, integrated global unit, using consistent technology stacks, workflows, and methodologies across regions. Where data protection and privacy regulations allow, teams seamlessly hand off work across geographies to provide continuous, around-the-clock support.

Technology-driven differentiation

In addition to leading commercial eDiscovery platforms, AlixPartners continues to invest heavily in custom utility and tool development designed to reduce time, cost, and risk for clients. A key example is AlixPartners' Lumen Chat, a proprietary mobile data review tool built to address the growing importance and complexity of short-message and chat-based data sources. Clients have described the platform as a "game changer" and among the most advanced mobile data review solutions available.

"At a time when everyone is talking about AI and trying to solve problems of the future, we're focused on leveraging our people, technology, and infrastructure to solve our clients' problems today with the future in mind," said Tarek. "Our client-first approach drives how we invest—aligning advanced technology with a deep understanding of the complex legal, regulatory, and operational challenges our clients face."

Proven global experience

AlixPartners' eDiscovery team has supported clients across industries and regions on some of the most complex discovery and investigation matters, including:

  • Managing multi-jurisdictional data collection and review for a global life sciences technology company across the U.S., EU, and China while navigating stringent data privacy and state secrecy requirements.
  • Supporting merger review inquiries from U.S., Canadian, and EU regulators through coordinated, multi-language discovery efforts across multiple regions.
  • Conducting large-scale forensic accounting and FCPA investigations for a global oil and gas company in Latin America, involving more than 30 terabytes of data and highly customized analytics.
  • Leading cross-border discovery and predictive analytics efforts following high-profile incidents and regulatory investigations across Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
