Mayer Brown represented Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Banco Santander Mexico, as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners, in connection with a $300 million loan series secured by existing and future Dollar-denominated credit card payments originated by Aeroenlaces Nacionales S.A. de C.V. ("Viva"), the Mexican airline carrier. The transaction involved the assignment of payment rights to a Mexican borrower trust. The obligations of the trust under the loan are guaranteed by Viva and its parent Grupo Viva Aerobus S.A. de C.V.
