Roshan Shrestha will be co-presenting on a panel discussion during a two-part webinar program titled, "AI & IP Law: Ownership, Infringement, and Enforcement" being offered by Pincus Professional Education on Nov. 11 and Nov. 13, 2025.
The two-day program will help attendees understand how AI has transformed how intellectual property is created, managed, protected, and violated. Attendees will be given an in-depth look at what is going on in the AI v. IP world – including the latest critical case law updates and regulation changes, how to identify IP rights violations and protect them, as well as how to not violate the IP rights of others. Led by IP attorneys who specialize in Artificial Intelligence law, this program will also address key issues such as authorship and inventorship when AI is involved, the protectability of AI-generated content, and the use of AI tools in trademark searching and patent drafting. Attendees will gain insight into risk management, enforcement tactics, ethical considerations, and what to expect from regulators and the courts going forward.
During their morning session on Nov. 13, Shrestha and his co-panelists Julie Reed and Wallace Wu will be discussing a few of the topics outlined above. They will address patent and trade secret exposure, such as concerns around AI replicating proprietary methods or materials, the Recentive case (analytics, lower court suits, and judicial guidance), as well as key issues raised during Thaler v. Vidal and other recent cases regarding whether AI can be considered an inventor.
