Groom has launched its 2025 Summer Associate Program, welcoming a new class of talented law students to the firm. This eight-week initiative provides hands-on exposure to each of the firm's nationally recognized benefits, health, and retirement practice areas. Summer associates are paired with mentors who provide guidance throughout the experience, ensuring opportunities for both support and professional growth. In addition to formal training, the program features a series of interactive seminars, panel discussions with firm leadership, and networking opportunities.
This year's participants include:
Sofia Crutchfield, a rising 3L at The George Washington University Law School, is returning to Groom for a second summer. She graduated from American University as an undergrad and went on to work as a project manager on tech contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board prior to attending law school. Outside of work, and in her spare time, Sofia enjoys yoga, traveling, and live music.
Miranda Harrigan, a rising 3L at The George Washington University Law School, previously worked as a Counterterrorism Analyst with the Department of Homeland Security and is currently a member of the Federal Communications Law Journal and George Washington's Mock Trial Board. When not practicing law, she enjoys cooking, attending DC sporting events, and karaoke.
