A mutual pilot PPH program has been dispatched by Indian patent Office (IPO) and the Japanese Patent Office (JPO) for a period of 3 years. The PPH targets helping accelerated examination process of the patent applications between IPO and JPO, hence decreasing the disposal time of the Patent applications unquestionably.
Under this program, it has been concluded that the IPO will accept Patent applications only in the technical fields of Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Physics, Civil, Mechanical, Textiles, Automobiles and Metallurgy; while JPO will welcome Patent applications in all fields of technology. The PPH program will be limited to 100 Patent applications from each office per year for a total period of 3 years.
PPH announces for the inventors to claim and secure Patents in both the jurisdictions in fast-track mode by the way of easing increased disposal of the applications.
