On 8 September 2020 the Victorian state government will be taking 'Registrations of Interest' for their state nomination program. There are limited migration places available leading up to the Federal Budget in October 2020, and those who might be eligible should take note of this window of opportunity.

To be eligible for the program you must:

  • already be living in Victoria
  • already be working in Victoria (minimum six months employment)
  • work in a highly skilled occupation in health or medical research which supports Victoria's economic recovery and/or health response

The above are in addition to meeting the eligibility criteria for a skilled visa including having a valid skills assessment in an eligible occupation, English ability and achieving the minimum points score.

A list of eligible occupations has not been announced, but we strongly encourage those in the health care or related sectors to consider your eligibility. Details on the process to follow are available on the Victorian government website. We note that you must have a valid Expression of Interest in the SkillSelect system to be eligible.

Registrations of Interest closes at 5pm on 21 September 2020. If you require advice or assistance with this process feel free to contact us for an appointment.
