Saudi Arabia Intellectual Property

As Saudi Arabia continues to move forward with Vision 2030, the government has made a further step in unifying the body responsible for Intellectual Property matters. The Ministry of Trade and Investment will no longer be responsible for trademarks as the mandate is now being passed onto the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property. Established in 2017, the SAIP was initially formed to assist in enforcement procedures. As of present, the entire gambit of Intellectual Property Services related to all forms of IP(trademark, patent, copyright and Industrial Design), now fall within the jurisdiction of the SAIP. The Saudi Trademark office continues to operate as normal during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
