Olivia Zhang – Graduate Lawyer
Olivia is one of the graduate lawyers and part of team at Sophie Grace.
If we had to describe Olivia (Ollie) in a few words we would say she is

Olivia's journey to Sophie Grace
Olivia knew as a teenager that she wanted to be a lawyer. "I love the intricacy of language and logic and I think studying law enables me to explore in those areas" Olivia explains.
Olivia completed a double degree in Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law (Honours) in 2018. From there, she has had experience in being a legal editor, publishing commentaries and annotations relating to the Corporations Act. This helped her realise that her interest lies in financial services law and innovative financial instruments. At Sophie Grace, she found the perfect opportunity to practice law in financial services whilst also making good use of her bilingual skills in assisting Chinese and English-speaking clients. She enjoys the opportunity to be able to help clients both locally and internationally.
Outside of the Office
Olivia enjoys a range of hobbies including photography, reading, watching movies, going to the gym, visiting galleries and museums, scuba diving and skiing. Though Olivia has a range of hobbies and activities, she does admit she has a lot to improve in terms of her skiing skills. (But we're pretty sure she's just being humble).
Best piece of advice
"The best piece of advice that I received is imbedded in my Chinese name, ??(Zhi-Xing), which means one obtains true knowledge when their action is consistent with the knowledge. If one claims that they know something, but act otherwise, that is not true knowledge that one has." Olivia explains.
Fun Facts
- Olivia is ambidextrous, she can write with both her right and left hands.
- She has also had her research paper on Stablecoins and Blockchain technology published. How impressive!
