On Friday, August 28, 2026, Angela A. Turiano, Partner and Chair of the Litigation practice group at Scarinci Hollenbeck, will return to Fordham University School of Law to deliver an in-person lecture on SEC Regulation Best Interest (Reg BI).

The program marks Angela’s second time presenting her Reg BI lecture at Fordham. She first brought the program to the university in October 2025. She most recently delivered it at the University of Miami School of Law in February 2026, where she has been a returning guest lecturer for the Investor Rights Clinic.

Angela’s relationship with Fordham extends beyond the lecture hall. She has served as a mock arbitrator for the Securities Arbitration Clinic at Fordham School of Law every year since 2020, drawing on her experience representing financial institutions and advisors to give students detailed feedback on their mock opening statements and closing arguments.

In this session, Angela will walk students through the practical and regulatory landscape surrounding Regulation Best Interest, including:

  • The four obligations of Regulation BI
  • Current regulatory focus
  • Form CRS
  • FINRA exam findings
  • Recent enforcement actions

“Returning to Fordham to teach this program again is a real privilege,” Angela said. “Reg BI continues to evolve through regulatory guidance and enforcement, and the students at Fordham ask sharp, practical questions that reflect how the rule is applied in the real world. Helping them connect the regulatory framework to the disputes they will one day handle is the most rewarding part of these visits.”

Angela’s ongoing work with leading law schools reflects her commitment to her practice and to the broader legal community. Through her lectures and mentoring, she continues to advance understanding of securities regulation and prepare the next generation of attorneys for the issues they will face in practice.
