Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC is pleased to announce that Partner Brian D. Spector is producing What Exit?, a new entertainment podcast featuring industry news and guests from the Garden State. Hosted by Jared Goldsmith (Dear Evan Hansen), the podcast premiered on Saturday, August 29, 2026, and is available on Spotify and YouTube.
What Exit? takes its name from New Jersey’s most iconic question, the one that instantly reveals where you are from or where you are headed. Just across the river from New York, a surprising number of Broadway and entertainment professionals have roots in, or have passed through, the Garden State, creating an unexpected connection between New Jersey and the stage.
Each episode opens with a quick, offbeat take on theater news before shifting into “The Exit Interview,” a conversation that goes beyond the typical press stop. Guests are invited to reflect on where they started, where they are going, and the dreams that drive them. From Jersey affiliations to the stage, and every step in between, What Exit? spotlights the personal journeys and defining moments behind today’s artists, because everyone has an exit and a destination.
The series opens with Broadway star Kate Baldwin as its first guest. A Tony Award® nominee known for her performances in Finian’s Rainbow and Hello, Dolly!, Ms. Baldwin sets the tone for the conversations to come.
The podcast is the latest chapter in a theatrical career that Mr. Spector has built alongside more than four decades of practicing law. A two-time Tony Award®-winning producer (Leopoldstadt, The Inheritance), four-time Tony nominee, and two-time Grammy Award® nominee, he will be represented on Broadway this coming season by Inter Alia and Paddington the Musical, and he is producing the new musical Wild About You in London in January.
“New Jersey has given Broadway far more talent than most people realize, and I have always been struck by how many artists carry a piece of the Garden State with them wherever their careers take them,” said Mr. Spector. “What Exit? is a chance to tell those stories, with a little theater news and a lot of heart. Jared is the perfect host for it, and I could not be more excited to share these conversations with listeners on both sides of the river. I am also thrilled to record this project at Livingston High School with the assistance of a talented production team of students.”
Scarinci Hollenbeck is proud to support its attorneys as they pursue passions beyond the practice of law, and the firm congratulates Mr. Spector on the launch of What Exit?.
