Washington, D.C. – Global law firm Hogan Lovells Cadwalader advised Omnispace in the completion of its merger with Lynk and the introduction of Elveo Mobile, which was unveiled earlier this week.

Elveo will bring reliable, next-generation connectivity directly from satellites to mobile phones, devices, and machines everywhere on Earth. Elveo unites two pioneers in direct-to-device (D2D) communications, with a combined 20 years of heritage, globally coordinated high-priority spectrum rights in multiple bands, patented multi-band satellite technology and deep partnerships to close the coverage gap for mobile network operators (MNOs) worldwide.

"We are proud to have advised on this transaction, which underscores the increasingly complex nature of today's deal environment," said partner Randy Segal. "Drawing on the depth of our Space & Satellite practice and our ability to provide comprehensive, end-to-end transactional support, we delivered integrated, multidisciplinary counsel aligned with the client's strategic objectives from start to finish."

Elveo's payload will feature advanced on-board processing and networking features designed to adapt, iterate, and grow rapidly. It offers global D2D connectivity and service will work with the eight billion mobile phones and devices people already own. Elveo's advanced network design can bridge this coverage gap as an affordable and alternate solution for MNOs.

The Hogan Lovells Cadwalader deal team was led by partners Joseph Gilligan (M&A, Washington, D.C.), Gabi Witt (M&A, Washington, D.C), Randy Segal (M&A, Northern Virginia), George John (Communications, Internet, and Media, Washington, D.C.), and senior associate Spenser Karr (M&A, Philadelphia).
