HOUSTON, August 10, 2026 – Mayer Brown partner Katie Gray has been selected as a “Rising Star” in the General Litigation category of Texas Lawyer and Law.com’s 2026 Texas Legal Awards, which recognizes lawyers under 40 making a lasting impact on the Texas legal landscape.
A member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, Katie represents clients in complex commercial litigation, government investigations and enforcement matters, and mass tort litigation. Before joining Mayer Brown, Katie served as a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the US Department of Justice, where she led multi-agency investigations and litigated significant civil and criminal cases in courts across the country. In addition to her trial experience, she has briefed and argued complex appeals before the US Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Fifth, and DC Circuits, each resulting in published opinions favorable to her clients. Drawing on her experience representing both the federal government and private-sector clients, Katie provides strategic counsel to companies across a broad range of industries facing government scrutiny, high-stakes disputes, and other significant legal challenges.
