The Rotary Club of Everett will be selecting the next group of deserving students to receive scholarships. High school seniors who applied for the scholarships will be interviewed this Saturday, April 11th. These interviews will determine which students receive the Club’s approximately $400,000 in scholarships, which will be formally announced at a celebratory awards event on May 13th. The $400,000 in award money is funded by club members and generous donors.
Beresford Booth’s own Michael Kvistad, immediate previous Everett Rotary Club President, will serve as one of the key interviewers on Saturday, helping select final recipients based on various criteria, including academic achievement, school and community involvement, and career goals. Since the program began in 1952, the club has awarded nearly $6 million in scholarships.
